The Bus is home
After a long journey, with some hiccups :-( our bus is finally home. Its sitting on our driveway, but unfortunately its not going anywhere for a while... on the way over we broke down and had to have the bus transported on a lowrider all the way from Eucla near the border of WA/SA on the WA side. I have managed to take out all the seats and now am in the process of finding some leaks.. but i think the water is not flowing out properly from the sliding windows... thus water has to go somewhere and some is coming into the bus... but only on really heavy downfalls. Just waiting for some nicer weather now.
We Bought a Bus
Jemma and I recently bought a bus!! We are very excited, as over time (once we get it back from NSW/Qld border) we'll going to transform it into a motorhome! Can't wait! Will keep everyone updated with photos etc. Our first task is driving it back here to Esperance, approx 4000kms. Long trip but it will be mine and Jemmas first road trip in our new bus!
Sad News
Our dear little Pipa
passed away. She had a very advance infection which was not detectable, she showed no warnings, vets did all they could, she was a strong little fighter and a very happy dog, always full of energy. She will be missed very much by us and i know for sure, very much by Maximus her partner. She made a big impact in our lives, its sad not to have her around anymore and my boy (maximus) still looks for her. But i know God will heal our hearts. Go in peace Pipa. We loved you very much. :'(
Pipa´s Puppies come early
We were expecting Pipa's puppies to arrive on the 30th May, but they came on the 28th... not far off... But we were keeping an eye on her. The first pup was born at 1.50pm. She had four by 5pm.
After a couple of hours we started to get worried. No more and it still looked like she had more inside her. Later that night we ended calling the Vets. Pipa wasn't distressed or anything... she was quite happy looking after her four pups... but yes, a bit tired. We waited till morning to see the vets, she slepted peacefully through the night, still no more pups. We had her X-rayed, and she still had three more pups inside... one very big one that didn't want to come out. Pipa stayed at the vets till lunch time, Vets wanted to do a
cesarean section
on Pipa, we weren't convinced and made a decission to bring her home... at the time she seemed very stressed at the vets, we'd hoped she would feel more relaxed at home. Near 3pm (which is the last time of the day that the vets to surgery) she had had a few contractions we could feel the pups head near her vagina but Pipa was getting too weak again from her contractions. We now had to take her back to the vets, she had tried very hard to get the pups out but it was just too big. After surgery, Pipa lost too of the pups, but thank you to God one survived; thats 24hrs after her the forth pup. Quite a miricle. More importantly Pipa survived the operation and the whole ordeal. She is now home with her five pups, recovering and resting lots as the puppies sleep
and drink all day and night. We're very thankful for the good work the vets did. And we continue to pray that Pipa makes a very good recovery and that her puppies grow up to be strong and healthy like her and Maximus.
I´m a Biker now
Earlier in the year I purchased my first brand-new vehcile a MotorBike (Scooter). It's a VMoto Monaco 125cc. Well the only issue was that I needed my motorcycle "RE" licence. Well two weeks ago (early May) i got my licence. Yee Haa!! Oh, if my parents are reading this, don't worry please... I'm going to be very careful... but hey don't hesitate to pray for my safety on the road. You know especially when i'm walking on the streets, stray dog's are sometimes scarier!
Puppy Love
Pipa and Maximus are going to be parents soon. Pipa is pregnant and is due on the 29th of May. She is looking very big... it's like she got fat overnight... poor thing is even beginning to woddle.
1 Year Anniversary

Can you believe it, its been one year already. 7th January 2008 was our 1st year Anniversary. What a huge milestone. But it isn't really when you have Jesus in the centre of our lives, and with God's help and support, we will one day have 50ths anniversary. For now though its just one step, one day, at a time. Thank you Jesus for making our 1st year so special! And thanks to everyone that made our wedding day so special!
Beesting on my Eye
I was at a friends place, when a bee came out of nowhere! Landed on my head, i flicked it off, then it came back on to my shoulder, boy it was persistent, after flicking it again, it made a round trip around my head and went in behind my glasses and by now I was freaking out, but too late, it stung me right on my eyelid. Throwing my glasses off and attacking the bee, it died but i was lucky to take the sting out straight away. Here are some pictures...

1 Hour after sting. No longer able to open eye. I'm now heading to the emergency department at the local hospital. Where I was injected with steriods right into blood system and antihestimeens into my leg muscle (that one hurt just as much as the beesting). 2008-01-07 7:02pm.

Approximately 24 hours after beesting. Here's me trying to open my eye. Getting better but not good enough to drive. Which was really annoying cause I had to do a car route meter reading. 2008-01-08 6:24pm.

This was the night after I was safely home from doing a 12 & half hour day driving around the country side meter reading. Thankfully my eye was getting better, atleast better enough to drive. Had to have ice on it constantly too keep the swelling and heat down. Basically back to normal now. 2008-01-09 9:39pm.
